You may have seen swans performing various synchronised movements or ‘dances’ together on the water at mating time.<\/p>\n

The pre-copulatory rituals extend to preening, and although we’re out of the breeding season, this local pair I snapped this afternoon are clearly keeping in practice.\u00a0 Their synchronised stink-eye, reserved for loose dogs and over-eager photographers, is pretty impressive too.<\/p>\n
